Our Mission.
We want to empower single mothers by recognizing
their extraordinary power to parent solo, and give them the tools to
turn parenting challenges into rewarding experiences.
Super Skills.
All mothers are special, but there is something unique about being a single mom. Our focus, priorities, timing, perception, and multi-tasking skills all get enhanced, and tested, as we try to master parenting solo. Most of us didn’t see ourselves being single mothers when thinking about raising a family. The moment we realized we’re alone in this, a whole new world opened up to us. Questions, doubts, fears, uncertainty, and anxiety started building up as we entered the world of single parenting. We needed to develop a set of super skills, and we did.

A Super Mom
is born.
I never imagined I’d be a single mother. I didn’t know what to do, where to start. I looked for answers everywhere. The more I tried to navigate this new journey, the more I realized that there is a stigma surrounding single mothers. Every hospital tour, every “What to expect when you’re expecting” blog, every maternity shoot, every birth class, and even holiday ads depict a happy family consisting of a mother and father raising a child together. It is indeed unconventional to embark on the journey to motherhood on our own, but unfortunately, many of us do not have a choice when our partners are absent. This leaves us in a place where it’s difficult to have a conversation and engage with others who don’t go through the challenges we must face.
That’s when I decided to stop referring to myself as a single mom, and started calling myself and all single moms ‘Super Moms’, as we must face and overcome incredible challenges every day on our own. Our journeys are different, but they are not any less wholesome. That’s when the idea of ‘Super Moms’ came to life. I wanted to erase the stigma surrounding parenting solo, and embrace the awesomeness it actually is. Because it can really be awesome! There are many things that traditional families must deal with, that we don’t, and the other way around as well. Yet, we do need guidance and support from other Super Moms, as we can relate to each other, and lean on each other, to take on the unique challenges we face.
I started Super Moms to pay-it-forward to all the amazing single mothers who shared their stories, reached out, and supported me in the toughest days, and to help empower every woman who finds herself in a journey to becoming a Super Mom. If this is you: Know you are not alone and you are stronger than you’ve ever imagined.
Today, I can say that being a single parent has been the best thing that’s happened to me. It is my hope that all Super Moms feel this way too.
Our hearts go through so much…
that’s why we’ve got…
Super Strength.
Super Moms might seem invincible, but we don’t fly solo. Many times we have our share of struggles, and we need backup. During my journey to becoming a Super Mom, I built a support network which helped me believe I could do this on my own. I've come across hundreds of Super Moms, each with their own unique story, strength, and wisdom. Some, sadly, can relate to what I’ve gone through, and have helped me in more ways they’ll ever know. I want to thank each and everyone of you who’ve helped me and other Super Moms as we move along this unexpected adventure. It’s then when you realize that although single parenting can be challenging, you are never alone. If you feel like you’re struggling to cope with the challenges of being a Super Mom…
